Last May Monday Morning - May 30

  • Late good morning as I somehow managed to lock my laptop! It was actually a good thing because I sat on the bench and welcomed the sunrise with two sweet dogs who have been somewhat neglected the past four days - as has my garden! I've been majorly overbooked.

Going for coffee this morning with the UC folk and then will tackle the poor patient plants waiting to go into the flowerboxes on the front and side porches and the deck. Tomorrow morning I'll tackle the raised bed and get my wee veggie garden going. I sure hope Moel primed and started the pump because the bed needs to be soaked the the regular ground level before I can plant anything.

It's actually happening! Wednesday afternoon, I meet to hand over the Mill Treasurer job to the new sucker! Sharon is very capable - ran a peach orchard down in Niagara and knows Sage, the accounting system. I realize the transition will be slow but it has begun. The Board members have also FINALLY decided to hire and pay a bookeeper to do the darned data entry and generate reports.

So on to the next Phase of retirement. What's next on the divestment list?

Enjoy the day - especially you US chicks. Next Stat holidays are Canada Day and The Glorious 4th!
  • Good morning,

It was nice to sleep in an extra day, I woke up at 6:30 but figured I better get up so it's not so bad tomorrow morning. I already did yoga this morning and vacuumed the downstairs of the house. Yesterday had to return my new laptop back to work, I am pretty sure it's a lemon. We went to outlet malls, only found a couple pair of pants for DD2.

Today I am going to a baseball game with DH, I know no one else is going to be interested in going Still haven't tackled the weeds again.

Ruth so glad that you are passing on the torch and eliminated one of your volunteer jobs.

Have a wonderful day and Memorial day for the US.
  • Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all who have served.
