Something all scale-watchers should read

  • I came across an article that does a great job of explaining why the scale may fluctuate from day to day. Everyone who watches the scale should read this!

  • Thank you.
I am e-mailing this to my friends.

  • Excellent article!!

Ahh thats my problem...I'm not fat, I have heavy muscles hehehe.
  • Thanks for posting this, twodogmom. I have put the URL into the Frequently Asked Questions section and have given you credit.
By the way, I have very heavy bones.
  • Excellent article and very timely. One of my patients has a digital scale and I just can't stay off it. Yesterday it was down 2 and today it was up 3. Makes me crazy but I'm hooked. Julie
  • Thanks twodog ... been trying to stay away from the damn thing anyway ... especially if I weigh in the morning and I'm up a few pounds it just ruins my day ... not worth it.

I have a digital Tanita body fat scale with athletic mode (if you exercise more than 10 hrs per week the regular body fat scale doesn't accurately measure lean body mass) and I usually only weigh every two weeks !!!
  • So, that's why my scale said I was +1lb. this morning when I stepped on it. I depressed all day!
    Thanks for the info.
  • I step on my scale once every 2 weeks I used to use it ALL the time, but would get really BUMMED, and I also avoid it around my period too.....

    That was good reading !!
  • Bumping this back up to the top for Happie!
  • Oh!!!!!!!! Thank You so much
I think I will throw my scale away!!!!!! This makes me feel alot better.
  • Great Article!!!
    Twodog.......
