I have been diagnosed with high blood and would like to know if there are any members that have it that would not mind me asking you a few questions. Thanks
I have had high blood pressure for about 10 years. I am on meds and its controlled. I do try and watch my sodium, but not always good.
Hi before meds controlled it did you notice when you were active or climbing stairs it went way up. Thanks
According to my GP I have high blood pressure - however I suffer from White coat syndrome -when you talk to a dr your blood pressure rises I have a little writs blood pressure tracker I monitor with at home - I do not cook with salt - well apart from potatoes those need to be cooked in salt - something to do with starch removal - try meditation to help control and bring it down Yoga is also supposed to be good ...
I have a real dislike of Drs - Yesterday I went in as I have swimmers ear (water stuck in eardrum caused a fungal infection -YUCK!) to get it looked at and the first thing they do is question you about weight - then take your blood pressure ... this time it was 140 /80 beats 135/105 I guess when taken at home its 115/75 on a good day or up to 130/85 when children driving me bonkers
I do not take meds - I eat a low sodium diet unless I get cramp, which is usually a lack of sodium as I drink a fair bit of water too
regular walks fresh veg are all supposed to help as well
