Mini goal- 25lbs down!

  • Hello everyone. I've been visiting this site for a few weeks, but this is my first post. I am just starting my weight loss journey for what I hope will be the last time. I've been overweight my whole life and have gained and lost 60lbs three times in the past. This last big gain, along with pregnancy, put me much higher than I've ever been. My husband (who is also overweight) and I are committed to breaking the obesity cycle so our daughter doesn't have to go through what we experienced as overweight kids. We will do this for ourselves, and for her! I have 100lbs to lose to get to my goal (and a "normal" weight for my 5'1 body). My mini-goal is the first 25 lbs! That will bring me into onederland and well on my way!
    I already owe a big thank you to all of the folks who post on this site! I've been inspired, and motivated and I know I'm not alone! Thank you! This is our year!!
  • Working on 25 lb mini goal also!
    Hi,
    I'm also working on my first 25 lb. weight loss goal. So far, I'm down 17 out of 25 so this is within reach. Started mini goal the week before Christmas (thought I'd start working on going down during the holidays instead of up).
    Once this goal is met - onto the next 25 lbs. I've decided, however, that instead on focusing on the scale / lbs. lost, I'd focus on the process and establishing healthy habits. I know if this is in place, the lbs. will drop and hopefully STAY off.
