  • Welcome to the newest segment of 10 Days In The Life Boat.
This is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support from our fellow rowers. So, what is your plan for this 10 day segment?

Grab an oar and join us doing our best to not fall out of the boat and and get wet. We need to meet our goals to stay dry.
  • My goals for this leg:
    1. Eat healthy. No donuts, fried food, pizza.
    2. Add a bit of exercise each day.
    3. Be able to say, "I'm proud of how I got through today", at the end of each day.
  • I have been off the boat for a long time. My goals for this trip are to;
    Walk 10000 steps each day
Log all my food each day
    Stay under my calories goal
  • Thanks Captain Judy for starting a new leg.
I think we did pretty good last leg. Let's keep it up for this one!
Glad to have you back with us Leslie.
My goal is to post daily on MFP, 3FC, and to eat on plan.
  • I've been having a rough couple of days, binging, but trying to right my ship or boat . My goals are to stay on track for at least 9 days of the 10, exercise at least 3 times in next 10 days and report everyday.
  • Splashed but in the boat. Fighting the call of junk food. Grrrr!
  • I binged, grrrr this was my 3rd day of binging. The plus side is I got in a great one mile workout, woohoo!
  • Dry.
Computer acting up so if you don't hear from me that is why.
Come on ladies the water is too cold! Stay in the boat.
  • I fell out yesterday but I'm back in my seat and determined to spend the day rowing!

    Leslie - how're you doing.

Candidcamster - NO More binging. Grap the life ring and we'll help you back into the boat. Fresh towels are warm and dry and there's a velcro strip that you can attach to the seat and your bum!

Ubee - You've been doing great. Hope your computer is easily healed.
  • Dry.
  • Lol@ J-Ann, thank you! I had about 4 days of binging I'm finally back in the boat! I'm avoiding the scale and actually looking up info on Weight Watchers right now, if I join it will probably be online because of the schedule conflicts, we'll see. Planning to do 1 mile of Leslie Sansone tonight, I'll post later tonight.
  • Crap, someone toss me a line. Yesterday was not good and I gained 2.8 lbs over the last week. Pissed at myself but I think I may have been bad enough to get me to settle down and get it together!
  • Judy here is a line and a warm towel.
Candid glad to have you back in the boat.
    Has anyone seen Leslie?
I am dry and rowing hard. Let's all row hard and reach our destination!
  • I'm still rowing, no binging (no jinx ), only half a mile yesterday but better than nothing. I'm wishing for a dry week for us all!
Btw I posted these quotes in another thread and wanted to share them here, I hope they are useful.
    Eta this little reminder :
"Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use."

    Earl Nightingale

    Another reminder :
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. - Winston Churchill

    And yet another:
"It is not enough that we do our best; sometimes we must do what is required."

    Winston S. Churchill*

    * = I first came across this quote I believe in 2009 from my Weight Watchers leader Kathy, she had another great quote but I can't recall what that one was. It just really hit home because in truth we all have so much untapped potential and sometimes you've got to put it to use to win the fight. You're worth the effort and you've got this!
  • Gee I hope that when I was rocking the boat trying not to fall in I didn't cause Judy and Leslie to go overboard!
Thanks for the quotes Candid they are important things to remember. Feel free to post them more often. Getting our mind in the right place is crucial to this battle.
