Welcome Wednesday - January 13

  • Good morning from the wintery wilderness of Delta. The township ploughed the road at 4:30 which certainly woke us up.

It snowed off and on all day yesterday which made driving a little tricky and Red Car spent last night in the barn. Richard just ploughed the lane so I must do a bit of tidying up out there before I get her out. (The doors open out so he cannot clear snow away from them with his big machine.)

I did write and send the resignation letter - actually not resignation but notification that I would not accept a nomination at the Annual General Meeting in June. As expected, the Pres is asking me to suggest a replacement. IMHO it's time to actually hire someone. It sure was a relief to get that written and sent off.

Michelle comes to clean tomorrow and I have a lot of tidying to do before then. Christmas stuff is ready to go into upstairs storage but we need to sort out the storage area before then. I think it will be sitting in the upstairs hall or bath for a while since I will be out all day tomorrow and won't be able to work with her making keep or pitch decisions. * Sigh *

Time for another coffee and some dog cuddling. They tell me I need to shovel their steps down to the yard so that may be first before I deal with red car.

Have a good day and join me for a coffee!
  • Good morning,

No snow here but we did get frost need to go start my car to start warming up before I leave for work. Another day in office for me. DD2 has art class this evening.

Was achy yesterday but did not resort to any meds (left at home on purpose) hopefully today will be a better day.

Ruth glad you you sent the letter off yesterday. I still have one room upstairs and the basement to go through sorting of clothes. I also emptied out one of the storage bins that held smaller children clothing I kept and forgot about. Need to fill that storage container and put back before I can put the Christmas decorations bins on top of it. I do 3 stacked together on one side of the basement.

    Have a wonderful day everyone!
  • Good morning!

Traveled over yesterday. It's cold here but I'm feeling ok . I will go to the pool and take it easy.

Love you all! Have a great day!
  • Sort of quiet in here today. Must be lots of busy chicks.

We had a bit of snow overnight but the sun is now shining and schools were not affected. That's ok with me, although as I drove to work in the dark this morning I decided that when I am in charge of the whole world I will start school an hour later in January so it is light out.

Just another hump day at work here; nothing special on the agenda and I am planning on leftovers for dinner so I don't even have to cook. That's a nice feeling.

Ruth, I'm glad you submitted your notice. Stay warm today!
Pearl and Debbie, hope both of you are feeling better.

Well, duty calls. A woman's work is never done!
  • Shhhhh I'm sneaking in from work while listening to the Governor's state address. You guessed it Beth today is my double, but at least I go home at 11pm and don't return until 3pm tomorrow. No snow in the city just a dusting at home. But boy was it windy when I left the house. I'm sure my recycle bin will be in the neighbor's yard.

Ruth I am so happy you wrote the letter!!!

Beth would your hubby eat the Mexican Casserole without the cream cheese? Sometimes I skip it and add a handful of cheddar or whatever I have on hand...I sneak zucchini in mine. DS thinks they are peppers lol.

Debbie hope you get some pool time in.

Pearlrose how are you feeling today without the meds?

Beth, I don't know how I do it either some days. I do know being prepared food wise helps tremendously. I even made my morning smoothie for the commute in today.

My mom posted a picture on Facebook from our family reunion in 1994. I was shocked at how bad I looked. I was in my early 20's living an unhealthy lifestyle. This was the summer before I got married. I found a photo taken in I believe 2013. Post divorce and in my early 40's. What a difference!!! I'll try and post it if my phone cooperates.

    Have a great day
