  • Nothing taste as good as skinny feels. So looking forward to starting IP tomorrow. I have so much energy and feel so great when OP. Let's get this life changing eating lifestyle started.
  • This is a great idea - thanks so much for getting us started!!
  • I go to the informational meeting tomorrow and hope to start right away!
  • When the past calls, don't answer it. It has nothing new to say!

I saw this somewhere, don't remember exactly where and in what context but I thought it applies to IP. A fresh new start for us...leave the past in the past with all our bad habits and move forward.

    To a great 2016!
  • Day 1. The most important thing to remember is always have food ready to prepare. If you do not have the food in the house it is easy to not stay on the plan. Also keep an extra packet in your purse and in your car. Life happens so be prepared.
  • I cooked some salmon last night and cooked an extra piece. Now I have my protein for lunch ready for the next few days. Also cooked up a batch of turnip. I swear I could eat turnip for breakfast! The less thinking the easier to keep on track.
  • Great Thread idea.

Attitude is everything. I don't know how many times someone has posted about a bad day, a slip up, discouragement about something. And every time ... every time ... someone comes by and posts ...don't give up, stay on track, you can do it, you know you can do it!

That's what I love about this place, the positive support and attitude we all share with each other. We don't always get it outside of here.

So my contribution to the quotes:

"People tend to be generous when sharing their nonsense, fear, and ignorance. And while they seem quite eager to feed you their negativity, please remember that sometimes the diet we need to be on is a spiritual and emotional one"
  • Don't forget to drink all your water and use your sea salt. If you skip the sea salt you might get leg cramps.
  • Had my first WI this morning. Down 4.4 pounds. Finding it easy so far, but I have to tweak my eating times. I work 12 hour nights and sometimes am up for 18-20 hours.
  • Day 1 here... Had a vanilla drink this morning and it wasn't bad. Hopefully the other stuff tastes like this too.
  • What a great job you've done, Blueskies!
  • Reboot Day 1
Well with the new year comes a reboot. Here's to day one.
  • Why do all social events involve food and wine. Invited to a wine tasting event and dinner on Wednesday. People do not understand when you say you are on a diet. They think why not go off the diet for one evening. I have decided to lie and say I am on a medication that you cannot have alcohol. I wish I did not have to go. I already feel the pressure. Any advice?
  • coffeebean. Funny thing about alcool and gatherings. I dont drink and my friends got used to this and i have no problem with it with them..i mean im just as funn y without the booze.
I remember being at a convention with coworkers and one of them, a man, told me that i was making him feel uncomfortabe because i was not drinking....WHAT? I was soooo stunned....I told him that was his problem and not mine that i did not need alcool to socialise with people.

Now for a suggestion...well it is a funny one that my son used all the time (he is an athelete and does not drink)...he told them...if my mom found out she would kill me,,,she's a real bi**h...ok maybe not for you but maybe it made you laugh.

Hey tell them....no thanks...i dont drink..after some time people will know. And those who respect you will stop asking....you may become very popular at parties....everyone needs a dd....or blame it on your mom..lol

I just never told people about my diet. Period. Because if I told 20 people, I'd get 19 arguments. If they asked about my food or drink choices, I would change the subject with a joking comment like, "I'll never get a figure like Kim Kardashian if I drink that!" and that usually gets them started (because everyone has an opinion on the Kardashians...LOL).
