Talkin' it up Tuesday on the Beach 12/8

  • Good morning Y'all!!!
  • I made DH coffee before he left at 5 this morning, but I just started my cup now (I went back to bed for a little nap ).

Today I get to meet a dear friend for breakfast, and later I have a recheck with my surgeon's office. Interesting on what they will say. I probably won't have time to check in tomorrow, I have a neuro appointment in Pittsburgh, and we need to leave early in case there's a traffic snag.

Today is significant for me...one year since my surgery. They initially said one year to see how I do - funny, now they say give it two years. I wonder what she'll say today, LOL. But, no matter what, God has been good and He has provided. I'm just VERY IMPATIENT to know where all this is headed!

Until then, bacon makes everything better . Oops, am I allowed to say that on the diet forum!?
  • Good morning, Tammy and chicks to come!

(and thanks for starting us up. I was trying to think of a cutesy title and appreciate that you did it for us!)

Cyndi, I am lucky that I don't have many holiday happenings right now; it is SOOO hard to resist the treats! And I try to make a bit of daily exercise a priority, even if it is 20-30 minutes marching around the basement. Funny how in the summer when it is light I can take a major walk after dinner but right now it is dark when I get home and I just want to put on my pjs.

Tonight I should try to wrap a few presents. DS2 will be home this weekend and I figure maybe I should camouflage his gifts.

Got to run- have a great day, chicks!

And yes, Tammy , bacon makes everything better!!
  • Good morning!

I'm sitting here sipping my coffee and trying to get back into the groove again. It's looking like a busy week and I must make it a priority to get my DD's package and my Christmas cards sent out this week.

Ah, they just showed a picture of Cape May on the weather! Yesterday morning at this time.........Oh well, time to go back to work so I can do it again next year.
  • Good Morning!

I'm on the run...had to finish a lease before I head out. The new tenants are meeting me at work. Done. I have my smoothie stuff all laid out and have time for one more cup of coffee!

    Happy Tuesday everyone1
  • Good morning,

Quick flyby for me, I am in going into office today. Holding off on taking any meds til I get there we shall see how that does.

Hope everyone had a great day. My parents are arriving this afternoon and are staying until Saturday. DD2 pinning ceremony is Thursday.
  • sGood morning I am not in a rush lol so I'll sit and linger over coffee for all the busy chicks.

Linda sounds like you came back refreshed. Can't wait to hear all about the trip.

Tammy its your anniversary of course you can have bacon. Good luck with the surgeon and the neurons tomorrow. Thinking of you.

Pearlrose I remember the pinning ceremony for the nursing students when I was in HS and college. You must be so proud of DD. Hope your back is starting to improve.

Debbie that is great the new tenants are meeting you at work. Glad you were able to get a renter so quickly.

Beth is DS on break already? Nice he will be there to help with the tree.

I am trying not to get frustrated. I am logging my food and working out. Last week lost 4 for the week and today I am back where I started. I'm pretty sure hormones are the culprit.I am rereading the book in case I forgot anything. If this pattern continues through January I may see a nutritionist for a little guidance.

Work today and through Saturday. I have a luncheon meeting Thursday and our union holiday party Friday. I still need to do stockings and get my sisters and brother gifts. Otherwise I think I am good to go.

    Happy Tuesday!
  • Finally home. Left Cape May around 9:30 yesterday, lunch with my pals and then finally back in Canada at 10:15 last night for an overnight in the Hilton and a relaxing breakfast. Did not shop in Ottawa so was back here in Delta by noon to find Michele was here cleaning and Paul had finished the bedroom floor and also painted the bathroom. He used the paint I had selected for the upstairs Hall but that's OK. Went over to get my darling furries from Lisa and they were all delighted. I thought they were going to wag right out of their skins. (Millie just jumps straight up in the air when excited.) We are home now to a clean and peaceful house with the laundry loaded to be done when the cheap rates are on and a premade dinner from Cousin Lisa. Life is good!
.... and what happens in Cape May stays in Cape May!
