Consultation for Laser Hair Removal

  • I have a consultation for laser hair removal next week. I tried it over 10 years ago when I was around 17 or 18.

I am hoping that maybe the technology has gotten better and that my hormones haven evened out..even though my androgrens are high. I am really praying this helps! I don't expect it to fully get rid of everything but if it could thin things out and make it not look like I have a 5 oclock shadow all day I would be so happy.

There isn't a chance that the laser could make the problem worse is there? I am going to a medical spa and I imagine if I ask them they will just tell me no anyway to sell the service.
  • I'm not officially diagnosed with PCOS, yet, but I had a lot of the symptoms

I started doing laser hair removal 2 years ago and it was the best decision of my life. I had my full body done. I never got hair on my face, but my chest line had a lot of light hair and quite a few dark hairs.

I only shave 1-2 times a month now, and rarely shave my chest line.
Just make sure you space your appointments out to every 6-8 weeks because less time does not give your follicles a chance to regenerate enough to be zapped again, and you'll use up your sessions faster and waste your money. After my first session, I noticed a 60% decrease of hair growth. After 16 sessions, 90% of my hair does not grow back.
