I have just came back from my Hospital appointment with the obesity Clinic.
They also suggested that I go on the 8 week, semi skimmed milk only diet.
I am just not sure if I will be able to hack that kind of extremity.
I have had success in the past following the Atkins diet, but always struggled with that in the long term and ended up piling the weight back on.
I am also confused as the doctor was very scornful of my previous low carb Ketosis dieting and said it was dangerous and yet they are now recommending that I go on a milk only diet, does not really make any sense to me.
I have a lot of weight to lose, I am at my heaviest @ 21.5 stone and I am 6ft2
I need to lose 9 stone.
Would really appreciate the thoughts of others, especially would like to hear from people who have also been on the Hospitals 8 week Milk diet, what results they got and how difficult it was to follow

I moved your thread to our UK forum because you might be more likely to find someone that has heard of this program. It's not something we would recommend, for obvious reasons. If I understand correctly, from a little googling, this is a carefully monitored program that is done before weight loss surgery, is that correct or am I wrong? Do they give you supplements? Does your hospital have a group support meeting you can attend with others going through this?
