  • I'm currently using the Slimfast powder to make it easy for meals at work and I love them, but I notice it has very high sugar content. Does anyone have info on a similar powder meal replacement or protein shake that isn't quite as high in sugar and doesn't break the bank? Any info is appreciated. Thank you in andvance

    I use Premier Protein Chocolate.
  • Seriously! My post was removed? How bizarre. I ended up in hospital after taking these shakes. You would think this relevant to the thread.
  • I drink Soylent for lunch at work. It's filling and satisfying and really easy to measure how many calories I'm getting.
  • I drink Jay Robb. Google it if you never heard of it. It doesn't have all of those crazy chemicals in it. And it's sweetened with Stevia and it's made with milk that doesn't have growth hormones in it.
  • i use Premier Protein Chocolate..atkins shakes and slimfast low carb

Thank you that sounds great. How does it taste?
  • I'm taking Muscletech Phase 8 as my workout protein and replacement for dinner.
It keeps me full for like 6hrs or more because of the Casein content.
I'm loving the white chocolate flavour!
  • I have a friend who mixes raw cacao with almond milk which I guess is far more natural than a meal replacement shake.
  • I drink Total Soy. I've only tried the chocolate flavor and I like it. Its 130 calories a serving and 8g of sugar per serving.

That sounds just delightful. I'm no proponent of almond milk by itself, but this actually sounds tasty.
  • I drink Premier Protein shakes. The chocolate one tastes just like chocolate milk. They are around $7 for a 4 pack at Walmart. Right now there are coupons on clipping services for $4 off a 4 pack. I ordered a bunch of the coupons for .16 each
  • I like Jay Robb too! Though I do purchase the egg white blend as opposed to the whey. No good reason as I sometimes switch off with plain fat free Greek yogurt when money is tight. I try to get Jay Robb at GNC when they have sales of buy one, get one at 50% off. In any case, my smoothy recipe is the same every morning, 1 scoop of Jay Robb or one container of Chobani yogurt. Jay Robb has 24 g of protein per scoop/ Yogurt has 15 g. If you are counting carbs, Jay Robb is 4 g; yogurt is 7 g.
  • One last thought, if you live near a Wholefoods, they sell a variety of different protein powders in individual packs. I recommend taste testing and comparing. I don't know how many powders I've had to suffer through, even GMO free powders, before I found one that I liked. Fortunately, Jay Robb is also GMO free and has no sugar or artificial sweeteners. Actually way better for you than Greek yogurt, but sometimes I have to deviate a little to fit the pocket book!
  • I use Spirutein Vanilla It's tasty too!
