When you dream at night are you big or small?

  • Hi I am a lurker derlurking briefly!
I am wondering when you dream at night are you big or small in your dreams? I was always small in my dreams, but last night I was little bigger in my dream. I use to weigh about 120 in my dreams. I weighed about 130 or 140 last night. I have been big for 10 plus years now but my sleeping dreams haven't caught up yet
How about you? Are you big or small?
I guess I was just wondering if I was weird on this or not.
  • Usually I don't look a thing like myself. I often am someone else entirely in my dreams. So...it varies a lot.
  • Generally as I am currently, though of late I see myself size wise when I was at a normal BMI in my early 20s less the crazy 90s hair!
  • I am smaller and younger in my dreams!
  • My dreams are quite telling.

When I first lost a lot of weight at age 17 I used to have nightmares about being fat again. Fast forward and I was overweight by 21 and very obese by my late 30s!

Same with smoking. Whenever I gave up smoking and started to dream about smoking I would start again within a period of time after.

So my dreams are quite predictive and I pay attention to them. Thankfully I have had no fat or smoking dreams recently!

I also used to have depressing but ultimately motivational dreams. At my heaviest weight (281lbs) I used to dream about running, very fast though fields. I would wake to the crushing sense that I would never be able to do this.

Two years on, I am sitting pretty at 170lbs and run 4-5 miles a day!

    It is quite incredible.

So it looks like weightloss is definitely in your future, judging by your dreams!
  • Thanks everyone for the responses. I guess I am not as weird as I thought.
    Whew!
IanG I hope you are right. I am very tired of trying to lose weight and failing. Menopause stinks. I had a total hysterectomy last year around this time. I just can't seem to lose anything much now. I'm down 7 pounds for the year.
I just have to keep trying! At least I'm thin in my dreams
    Thanks all!
