Zoloft?

  • I got put on Zoloft 49 days ago give or take. I was staying at 225 but I now weigh above that (I think close to 230).

I went on vacation and was away from my treadmill and couldn't exercise. I don't know if the weight gain was caused by the medicine or not being able to exercise and not being able to eat how I usually do, which is usually under 2,000 calories.

I'm not sure but I'm very worried that I'll go up in clothing size and not be able to wear women's clothing. I know I can be fashionable at any size but the concern is still there.
  • I take 50mg of Zoloft and have been on that for over a year now. I too gained some weight. But...I do think it is more from me eating more and not being able to make it to the gym since moving. I have asked my doctor as well and he says it's not the medicine. So with that I am in week 2 of my eating healthy and I am down 2 pounds. So I know it's possible. You just need to stick with your healthy diet and move your body whenever you can.
  • I am also on Zoloft and have gained some weight but I feel like that has more to do with my lack of exercise and emotional eating!

Do you mean losing weight while taking it is possible?

And if you don't mind me asking how much weight did you gain?

My cousin was on Zoloft and he actually lost weight, are you sure you didn't change your eating habits or something?
