Need HELP with food options

  • So I really just need to cut down on sweets and control my sugar, but it seems like everywhere I go in my house all I find is sugar. Any suggestions such as healthy food (still delicious) recipes, grocery lists, snacks anything other than chocolate and brown sugar from the jar (oops) is a big help!!! Thank you for reading!

  • There are no healthy sweets except a little fruit. Artificial sweeteners have been found to cause the liver to manufacture more glucose in the body, which then requires more insulin and leads to type 3 diabetes. You'll never tame the sugar dragon by feeding it smaller quantities. That just keeps it alive. If you crave sugar, have a little protein or some nuts.
  • Dried fruit is super sweet and still healthy, like mangos, dates & figs (make sure to get the no sugar added ones)
Always does the job for me when I'm craving something sweet.
  • Dried fruit is OK occasionally but it does contain a lot of calories. For daily cravings it is better to stick with fresh fruit. Fresh sweet pineapple for example is so delicious.
  • Dried fruit that is high in soluble fiber with no added sugar like dates, figs, apricots and prunes. You just sh!t the stuff out. Tasty and good for you too.
  • Hi

Try eating or increasing your 'protein' at every meal & with every snack, this can Stop the sugar Monster that's trying to control you. Protein is also great to scare away the Potato chip monster. When our bodies become deficient in Protein, we often get unhealthy cravings.

I read your stats below your name. If the height & weight shown are correct, you don't need to lose any weight. Your weight is way below the suggested weight for your height.

I suggest that you speak with a doctor to ask questions regarding your food.

With my Sincere wishes to you, for you to be happy with your body.
  • Cool and refreshing, sugar-free ice pops are a delightful summer treat. I love it! :-)
