  • My blog details it all. It was a labor of love and it took 6 months to gather enough time and energy to do it. 100% done by me with the exception of my husband actually lifting the wall cabinets into place, but I did all the rest - hanging wall rails, shelving, lighting, etc. My scale even has a home in that room!

Anyway.... come check it out! (oh, and I run a Sunday School for a living, so having a craft room/study is partly for work related stuff too!)

Here's a teaser photo. It's taken at the doorway of the room, looking in:

  • Impressive! You will spend many happy hours in there.
  • Berryblondeboys how awesome is that. I love it, I wish I was a crafty person. Your room seems so relaxing and inviting. Enjoy it
  • Awesome. I wish I had the space for a craft room. I crochet at the computer or in bed.

I sure hope so! I can't get to using it quite yet as we are about to endeavor on a whole house major purge and then we have a HUGE project down in the basement of switching out the lights, installing the drop ceiling (grid is in place, we just need to install tiles in place) and then lay down the floor. THEN I can maybe go play in the craft room.

THough, several things I have in there I use for my Sundays - they just are owned by me and I share them with my work.

    (Insert infomercial voice) YOU TOO

I really need organized, inviting space. WIthout it, I feel blue.

(Insert infomercial voice) YOU TOO could have a craft room to call your own if you lived with your mother in law as the price!

It's the only reason we have room for a craft room.
  • Gorgeous space!
  • Awesome!! Very cool!
  • If you think you hear a bump in the night don't worry I just moved into your craft room. I am super jealous!! I keep telling my fiance that we need to win the lottery so I can build myself a studio. I currently don't have space to be creative so I wind up doing most of my watercolor paintings on my bed or floor. There are so many project I wish I could do if I only had the money. I'm super thrifty so I make do with what I can, but I still dream of being able to afford some of the more fun but expensive projects. My current/next project is to attempt to do a huge watercolor painting on a twin-sized white cotton flat sheet with fabric dyes. I want to then use the finished piece as part of the decoration for my wedding. I also plan on making large plaster bowls using balloons and plaster of paris for the centerpieces that I may also paint watercolor style. If you can't tell, I LOVE watercolor.
  • You're going to have so much fun crafting in there; enjoy!
  • Oooh, I love it! I dream of being that organized and having a space for everything. I'll bet it's a lot easier to actually get things accomplished in there! Love the little stools
  • Wonderful space! looks like something Martha Steward would have!
  • so pretty and colorful!
  • Ohhhh, I'm so jealous!! I need you to come re-do my craft room! I especially like the magnetic wall for the dies - excellent idea.
