Hey

  • Hey everyone. My name is Tiffani. I am 26 years old. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and PCOS. I have always struggled with my weight, but since giving birth to my son almost 4 years ago I keep gaining and I can't figure out why. I try to eat a healthy diet, I don't exercise a whole lot, but I am always on my feet chasing my son. I am 200 lbs right now. The highest I have ever been before today was 180lbs and that was when I was 9 months pregnant, so I am feeling pretty bad about myself now. I am just looking for some support, ideas, and hope. I come in here occasionally and read, but I have never signed up because I am really shy, but you all seem to be very supportive of each other. I hope to get to know you all. Thanks.
  • Hi Mama, welcome to the forum! I'm new here too
  • Hi Mama2011! This is a very nice and supportive community, and I think you'll be glad you joined! As far as your weight creeping up, since you have hypothyroidism and PCOS, the first thing you might want to do is see your doctor and have a check-up. Just make sure nothing medical is going on, that your thyroid is under control, your blood sugar is good, and all that. Meanwhile, you could keep a journal of what you're eating and see if you are consuming more calories than you thought. That can easily happen to any of us! Make yourself at home here, you're one of us now, so jump right in! Good luck!
