I said I wouldn't get excited about milestones, but

  • ... I was wrong.

The excitement are just different milestones. Today I did my first closet shopping. I'm down almost 32 pounds and all my clothes are getting baggy. I went to my recently too small clothes and put on a skort.... It fits perfectly with no muffin top. Two months ago I couldn't even begin to zip it. These are still my fat clothes, but they aren't my FAT clothes.

It made me feel great. I'm making huge progress. So... Scratch my thread about not being excited about milestones. I am. Just differently.
  • That is a big deal, Berry! Fitting into previously too small clothes is more tangible than a number on a scale.

A major goal of mine is to get back into some of my older clothes, especially my dress clothes. I have a pair of jeans that I can't wait to get back into. Maybe only 10-15lbs away.

    Congrats!
  • NSVs are the best. Congrats on the milestone!
  • I'm so happy to read this Congrats on your progress!
  • Woohoo!!! Those really are so much better than any number. I experienced that a little yesterday when I hit some thrift stores for work clothes and realized I was continuously grabbing a size too big. After the second or third trip to the fitting room it finally hit me to start looking at smaller sizes.
  • That's awesome! It's so worth getting excited for, too! Congrats on the progress you've made and never forget to celebrate
  • Berry - I wish you would not be so hard on yourself. Going down to a smaller size is a great achievement... and leave it at that. I, too, went closet shopping and I am excited I can wear things I haven't been able to in a long while. I am just looking forward to getting into some more things that were a little tight. I have a brand new jacket with tags on it still that was a Christmas present from a few years ago!
  • So cool! Congrats!
  • I also thought I wouldn't get excited about my trip down the scale again, but I am finding that I am indeed still having fun and I'm enjoying myself this time around! I'm glad you are too!
  • Congrats
