Low carb protein bars (do they exist?)

  • I've been searching for low-carb protein bars.

I originally had ThinkThin Brownie Crunch, and I liked them, but they are so expensive, plust they have like 24g carbs.

Then I found this article that listed a few recipes, but I didn't really like any: http://www.listfitness.com/low-carb-protein-bar-recipe/

Are there any good recipes that maybe dont have chocolate or peanut butter and are low carb?
  • You might want to check the "Protein Pow" website (google) - I've not yet tried any of their recipes, but they sure seem to look good!
  • I like the Pure Protein Bars, especially the Chocolate Peanut Butter. They have 16 Carbs. I usually just purchase at any grocery store or 7-11 store.
  • Quest bars, b-up bars, and power crunch bars are my favorite low carb bars. They come in several flavors like sugar cookie, PBJ, mint chocolate, cookies and cream, smores, etc.
  • Remember to subtract the fibre from the carbs. Quest bars are good because they are high fibre.
  • Quest bars are so good. I have one a day. Try the chocolate peanut butter, cookies and cream, or mint chocolate chip.

Do they stall weight loss? I remember back when I was on Atkins that they would say don't eat the bars every day because it would stall weight loss - which never made any sense to me.
  • B-Up bars are very good. Low carb, high fiber
  • Hi! Quick question, how much carbs should the bar have for it to be "good" or acceptable?
  • To be honest, I'm not touching this things since I'm doing Paleo I'm trying to stick only to "real food".
  • Yeah I'd rather avoid things like this and just get in real whole food. The key thing is to track your calories
  • I do avoid them but I'm just curious given that sometimes when we're on a hurry it's good to have an alternative.
