Good morning. Had a bad night of restless sleep but am glad to be up to sit on the deck, sip coffee and enjoy the sunrise. The birds are singing their version of "Ode to Joy". By the way, the geese may have changed their route in the morning because I've not had one polka-dot on my car!
Today is mine and I may use it to go to town and hit a garden centre for some new gardening gloves (yearly treat) and some fertilizer for my raised bed. I may also clean up some of the asparagus bed so I can see the yummy spears when they come up. We have lots of greenage, spring peepers and those pesky black flies - probably because of the flooding in the dogyard.
Tomorrow my neighbour up the hill and her family go to Cuba for a week and Milo comes to stay. He is a Jack Russell and long-haired datshund cross and really cute and well-behaved. He adores Millie and he and Jazz get along the way guys do. The yard is not quite as muddy as it was last weekend when Joey was here and Milo's muddy paws will be a lot smaller.
So what's on your agenda this fine weekend? I hope there's some fun stuff happening ... if not, make some!

Today is Green Up Day in Vermont, so I am meeting some neighbors soon to clean-up our neighborhood. I will, of course, bring binoculars to look for birds
. Or not.

We bought 2 more Knockout roses, another Bloomerang lilac, 3 hanging baskets, and wave petunias. Then I saw a pre-planted pot that I just loved, so I bought the plants they used and went home and made up my own arrangement in my largest pot, and it looks just as nice as theirs, and it was a whole lot cheaper!
