There is a website called Moonjoggers.com that I would like to join. It is yet one more motivator to help with activity and does virtual races - you have to be honest and report your miles. I have an activity link - is ther anyway to estimate miles per point - most of my activity is walking I average about 2 points per day - about how many miles would I have walked?
The active link measures your overall activity during the day, not just your specific distance walked. So you can't really extrapolate. Also, calorie burn may be more or less depending on intensity (how fast your walk, whether on the flat or elevated). And, if you do a lot of running around during the day (working, shopping, etc) then that affects your activity overall and you may earn points from that.
Your options:
If you walk a set path outside or on a track, measure how long it is (if outside you could probably go to an online map to figure it out).
If you don't walk a set path, you could keep track of your step number and use your stride to figure your difference. The easiest way to do that would be to use a pedometer.
Use an activity monitor which will give you your actual distance (I use a Fitbit, but there are many others).
The reason I quit using the Active Link was because it didn't give me any information other than Activity points. My Fitbit gives me Activity Points (linked to WW) and a whole of other things.
