Late yesterday afternoon the snow started and by morning the branches of the old pine tree were laden and touching the ground! It has now changed to freezing rain but the temps are going up to 47ºF by afternoon with lots of plain old regular rain in the forecast. I am going to cancel my periodontist appointment and just eat the cancellation fee. There is no way I'm driving in this crud on the Killer 401 Highway just to get my teeth cleaned and a lecture on flossing!
Michelle comes mid-day and I am ready for her as I thought I'd be away. Aside from her regular great cleaning, we'll tackle clearing and cleaning of the kitchen cabinets. The storage "room" upstairs needs work but there is no way we can both be in there at the same time. (It's a small defunct sauna full of junk and seasonal stuff. Yes, the Christmas decor is still in the guest room!)
So - a day changed around but I'll just make the best of it.

When the lane is ploughed - or melted - I'll venture out to the bank. Bob, the husband of one of the quilting gals, died and asked that any memorial donations go to Victoria's Quilts. (Wrong order! He asked BEFORE he died!) I have over $3K in cash and cheques to deposit and want to get it out of the house. I treat myself to some cut flowers when I'm road-running. On the other hand, Frugal Frannie may take over and remind me of the $50 cancellation fee for the dental appointment.
I see Cottage has arrived. Sorry about the bear dream, Linda, but glad you had a chance for very intimate family time.
Now for my second coffee and I'll set the timer to call the perio and cancel my appointment when they open at 8.
