I couldn't sleep and since it's my day off I decided to get up and drink coffee and clean. I'd like to be raking the lawn but due to darkness factor and healthy fear of mountain lions the tops of my kitchen cabinets will have to do. I have lots of pretty stuff on top and that all needed washing, too. I'm 50 minutes in and have 10 to go. Does that count as exercise?? LOL

OMG - no one better do an april fool's joke on me!

Since I'm not a complete basket case this AM, I thought I'd jump on 3FC and say hello. Most of you know I lost my brother lost week, and then on Monday I euthanized my 18 year old cat Merlin that I've had since vet school. It has been a rough week. I am supposed to talk to my boss this AM about my schedule, since my body just isn't cooperating with my increase in hours. I have warned her I might be a bit emotional - I expected to talk on the phone (she lives in NY, I'm in PA), and she'll be here in person.

The highlight today (other than April finally being here!) is that it is my son's 12th birthday!! Happy Birthday Ethan! He's already had a chocolate chip cookie to celebrate!

Oh my! Rabbit Day, Hump Day and April Fool Day all at once! Should I be vewy afwaid?

Millie and I are doing a test run to the Clinic this morning. She has a lot to learn but I'm hoping to have her officially tested for therapy dog work later this summer. Riding nicely in the car will be the first test and then we'll see how she does with folks in wheelchairs. She has certainly mastered sitting on laps and cuddling!

SO nice to see a string of above freezing afternoons ahead! Maybe Spring really is on the way. Thursday and Friday will be WAY above normal so lots of snow will disappear. I'm expecting to see my snowdrops bloom and lots of melting. Lots of geese have been flying over and they are heading North! Unfortunately the next part of the month is going to be below normal - we even have snow in the forecast.

Tammy, my heart goes out to you and your very rough times. Wish Ethan a happy birthday and tell him I am considering helping him celebrate with a chocolate chip cookie from my freezer stash.

Time to get cracking on kitchen tidying and then a shower and we're out of here to tackle the day!

Good morning! I'm starting off my day with a lovely mug of coffee and the checkbook, lol. I have to leave early to stop in at Dad's on my way to the farm, and I want to swing by the post office to mail out some bills on my way.

Debbie, funny coincidence, Jake has been cleaning our kitchen cabinets this week, too! He's using that new Amish milk stuff, and it really works well!

Tammy, I hope your talk with your boss goes well today!

Good morning, Ruthie, and I hope Millie passes her test run! Did you get your summer tires put back on yesterday?

Yup - the tires are on, the tail light is fixed and I'm gassed up - all for only $1,107! Millie is all bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning although a bit skittish. She has been frightened a couple of times in the yard and comes in all shivery with her tail right under her tummy. I suspect she is being frightened by a racoon or even a fisher! I sure hope they stay on their side of the dog fence as she sure wouldn't win a battle with those critters.

Morning ladies! We have beautiful sunshine today and will be above freezing. I had planned to watch some throw rugs today and may hang them outside. Haven't done that in at least 6 months.

Debbie, if I had posted about cleaning my cabinets in the middle of the night it would have been an April Fool's joke for sure!

Tammy, happy birthday to Ethan! It's my brother's birthday as well and I'm afraid we always teased him about being a fool. Good to see you hear today.

Today will be another day of checking off chores from my list. I will I could do some puttering in the yard but there's still too much snow.

WFH for me today and then this evening after DS GF last evening college class we take off for Biloxi, MS to go visit my parents. The car rental place called yesterday to let us know we could pick up the car last night so we could start packing instead of picking up this morning so one item off my list today.

Debbie I was happy with my de cluttering efforts this past weekend got two big areas done downstairs and it looks so much nicer now if I can just get the family to keep it that way.

Hello Just haven't been on much in the morning this week. One more day until my weekend and I can't wait. Work continues to be, well, work. Current thinking is layoffs might come in a couple of weeks. Or they might just keep dragging this out. Who knows

I saw flowers today! A friend's dryer vent warmed a spot enough for her first flowers to bloom. I was so excited.
