Tuesday SBD Chat, March 3

  • Good Morning

Thought I'd get us started before I head downstairs for coffee. I haven't even checked the weather yet. Kirk headed out to his shop early so I know the coffee is ready. I'm going to do some cleaning before work this morning. Mom and sis are coming over for dinner tonight if we don't get too much snow. Work today and not much else...

What's on your Tuesday agenda? Stop and say hi
  • Thanks for getting us started, Debbie, and I hope your day goes well.

The sky to the east is a glorious red/orange/violet, but it's a portent of things to come later this afternoon. I'm going to try to be home ahead of it, with any luck. There were rivers of water streaming over roads all over the place yesterday, and it was already starting to re-freeze on my way home, so I'm not eager to drive over them with a layer of snow today. And then they say we could get 10" of snow on Thursday.

On a brighter note, only 18 more days til Spring! Hopefully by then, the weather will have settled down.
  • My coffee is just about ready - and I suppose I should wake DD up. They actually go to school on time today! I'm betting they'll have an early dismissal, the ice hits around 3 pm today. If it happens, I won't be able to go to the therapy pool .

It's my day off, and I've got some niggles planned - like a Sam's trip, and cleaning out the fridge. Sounds fun, eh!?! I might make our optometrist's office some goodies - my DH rushed DS over there right at closing for getting a wood shaving on his eye. Same thing happened last year with DD - my kids have some weird affinity for wood on their eye!

    Coffee time!
  • I'll take some of that coffee, Tammy!!

I'm hoping for a calm, non-drama day at work today. It will be on the long side since we have a meeting after school, but oh well.

Cottage, the temperature doesn't feel like spring (we are sub-zero this morning) but at least the sky was already light when I got out of the shower this morning. Even when we change the clocks this weekend we will regain the daylight quickly. Come on, spring!!

Debbie, hope your work day goes quickly.

Ok, maybe my car is warm enough now that I won't have to scrape much. Have a great day chicks!!
  • Good morning. We've had snow predicted for two days now and it hasn't happen. I guess all of it is lurking down in PA. Sure hope it doesn't happen as predicted.

Hey! Eye appointment was great! The doc says my eyesight has improved and I no longer need to wear my glasses as much. At least one thing got better as I got older.

Today's plan is to go back to town for paint for the diningroom since Karen insists on painting it. Since she is short too, I am going to buy a sturdy ladder when I'm there. I also may find some walking shoes for my poor feet. I'll also go to Danny's new salon and make an appointment for a shearing! I don't have his phone number and can't remember what it's called but I do know the location. Duh!

We are all fed up with the weather but today I am going to put my pussywillow wreath onto the side door to urge Spring on a bit. Hmmm - maybe I should remove the last garland from the rail at the same time.

Be safe if you are dealing with wintery stuff today. The days ARE getting longer minute by minute so Spring MUST be coming.
  • Good morning

no promised snow here as yet. I've been busy making a list of things to do before dd comes with grandsons for march break. She plans to go somewhere for a night or two alone. Her hubby has been working long hours six days a week and she has been with the grandsons alone for too long. I have to prepare several meals ahead as I have lost the touch of cooking with small kids around.
have a nice day everyone, and stay safe on those road.
Off for a second cup of coffee.
    take care
    Sophie
