Odd question - how much weight did I lose..

  • My wife and I were discussing this today..

I went on IP late September /14 and I took a break for 3 weeks in December.

I had lost just over 50 pounds...I gained 29 on the break and I am about 5 pounds from that previous mark. So, have I lost 50 pounds or 79 ?

Going away late march so I am starting phase 2 first of march so I won't have such a weight gain..

My coach says that regardless of what I do, I will have a weight bounce of 5 to 10 when I finally come off of IP

    You folks are great !

  • I don't count the pounds I have to lose twice if that's what you mean. Your starting weight to where you are now is what you have lost because it is still gone, if that makes sense.

I didn't gain any weight when I phased off. I actually lost 6 more pounds before I started maintenance. The only reason I gained 5 and then 10 more is because I didn't stay on plan to eat properly. Yes, there are glycogen stores but honestly, I think you can fill those up but still lose enough that you won't notice them.
  • Original starting weight minus current weight = total weight lost.
  • LOL, If I were counting every pound I ever lost, without counting any of the ones I gained or regained, I would get to claim a loss of ten thousand pounds or more over the last 44 years.

I guess that would be one way to accentuate the positive.
