One of my brothers and his wife gave me a Visa gift card for Christmas. I bought some 1X clothes because I had none. What I have now is mostly 2X and some 3X for oversized shirts. The clothes arrived today and just for fun I tried them on to guesstimate how many pounds I'd have to lose to wear them. All three shirts fit NOW. Sadly the one pair of pants was way to big! So into the bag with all my other clothes to donate they go. LOL I've been so depressed about my weight fluctuations and worried for my Mother's health the past two weeks. I really needed a happy moment and wow is this ever!!

Thank you SenseAndSensibility!! Smaller sized clothes are one of my biggest motivators. It's kind of like whenever the sizes go down it's confirmation to my head that I'm not just dreaming and I really am losing weight. ♥

I know what you mean Jesslan, and big congrats! I'm hanging onto the bridesmaids dress I wore to my sister's wedding just so I can put it on every so often and see how much more loose it is. It really helps because it's something tangible. I mean, I see the number on the scale, but looking in the mirror I see no difference.. so the dress really helps that mental part, it doesn't lie!

Thank you so much, Sunarie!! There will come a day when your fabulous bridesmaid dress will be to big to wear anymore. It was a bittersweet moment realizing the dress I'd bought for Robert's and my wedding rehearsal dinner was to big and I wouldn't be able to wear it again. I still wore it Christmas Eve in rememberance of Robert, but I tripped over it all night because I no longer had the bigger belly to make it shorter. That old saying 'mirrors don't lie' doesn't seem to apply to those of us who have been overweight for a long time. We still see what we used to be and not the new smaller person that we are.
