True weight for your size/height?

  • How do you know your true weight or find out what range you may be in? I am 5'1", pear-shaped and 117-118. Am I a little over weight since I am so short? Should I be about 110 or am I in a good weight range? I try to watch and eat a lower carb diet and try to get in 3-4 workouts whether it be a dvd or treadmill per week. Overall, I am pretty healthy for 46. LOL Unfortunately, just love food and SUGAR which is my little devil who sits on my shoulder everyday just tempting me. LOL. Have to really watch it or the pounds surely will pack on and I cannot seem to lose weight to begin with. Oh, love my Italian heritage.

    So.......just curious....any folks out there my shape/height? What are ur thoughts?

  • You and I are similar in height and weight... I am no longer considered overweight. It is great to no longer be obese.
  • I'm about the same height as you and you're actually below my goal weight! That's definitely not "overweight" (our culture really has a weird perception of what "overweight" really is.)

    I can't tell you what those pounds look like on you, but I don't think its a cause for concern. From what I researched starting this journey (I'm only two weeks in) the ideal weight for a woman of our height is between 110-120.
