I went to bed right after work last night and got some rest. I'm still feeling tired. Work today early and DH works with the pup. Today he seems to have let his guard down and is just exhausted. I need to find out where we can get him neutered asap.

Happy 1st day of December! We put up the tree and decorated the inside of the house yesterday, and Jake is putting up the outside lights and decorations today. It's only a 3 day work week for me, and I'm looking forward to Thursday when I leave for our annual girlfriends' weekend in Cape May.

I get so excited when I see a little paperclip and know there's a picture attached! He's adorable Debbie, he's a lucky little guy!

Cottage - I think I'm *almost* as excited for your girls' getaway as you!

For me - I met with a friend last night about working with me, and she's going to visit our clinic today . Wait til she finds out how fabulous my staff is!!

So my colleague is back today, and I now have Tuesdays off! WOO HOO!! I have a packed day tomorrow, but that's okay. Life should get easier now.

Good morning to Monday, the rabbits, Debbie and Kirby and Linda. And to Tammy who just hopped in!

Slept until 6:15 for a change after going to bed by ten. I may be catching up but could have done with an earlier wake-up this morning to finish getting that parcel ready for mailing. Do either of you have my roll of wide tape? I must investigate Fedex for next year - probably cheaper than Canada Post and I think they tape or over-wrap parcels.

Quilters Christmas party/lunch happens today with a 3 PM meeting after that. It's going to be a long night as I finish getting the upstairs ready for Paul and the guys tomorrow. I still have one closet to purge - my former sewingroom closet. I'll have to just grit my teeth and pack up everything instead of getting distracted by unfinished projects. My DH used to say "When you get your $hit together, be sure you can lift it"!

Two more sleeps before I join Linda and the Girls in Cape May with an overnight at the PHL Marriot on the way to start the excitement. Can you tell Im looking forward to and NEED to get away and have some fun?

Tammy so happy you finally have help at work again!!! Hey how are you feeling???

Yesterday was great seeing my family. So spent 2.5 quality hours holding my sleeping nephew. Every time I went to put him in the crib he woke so I just let him snuggle I don't remem the last time I held a baby.

I heard from Natasha Her and her mom came in yesterday and we will meet today. Great day for walking in NYC.

Time to get back OP and get moving with the day. I am challenging myself to 28 days of clean eating. Will allow Christmas, NYE and 1 splurge day for the month. I was pretty good last month and hope to I prove this month. I gotta wear spandex shorts in May.....oh not a pretty site lol

Just three more days and today before I get some down time! Actually Thursday won't even be a full day because once last mail pick-up happens there is nothing else that can be done. Friday is a day just for me and will probably include going back to bed and doing some laundry

Debbie - what a sweetie. Hope he and Bing are fast friends and he settles right in

Cottage - we hope to cut a tree this weekend if the weather cooperates

soup making today. 9 bean soup with added veggies. I also want to make a stuffed dino for gs2 for his birthday. I have some nice alpaca yarn left over so decided to knit dh a pair of mitts. Almost finished one, he comes down morning and asks what am I knitting now. I said a pair of mitts for grandson, oh, good he says. These mitts are huge, lol

Good morning,

Horrible freezing rain caused many accidents today. Made it to work but took me 1 1/2 hours and DD1 car is in a ditch because a car in front of her slammed on brakes instead of just slowing down. Her and DH are waiting for tow truck to come pull her out.

Sorry for the late check in - I'm trying to get myself out of the house right away in the morning to go to the gym, so I'm not allowing myself to even turn on my computer. Likely I'll be checking in once I get to work.

Debbie - your pup is so cute! How fun to have a new little friend. Cottage and Ruth, that girls weekend sounds like fun. Enjoy and safe travels. Tammy - congrats on the slow down. Now you have more time to prepare for the holidays!! Jennifer, have fun with Natasha and say hi. Cyndi - don't you love those enforced deadlines sometimes? And Sophie, that soup sounds delicious.

I've decided to be decisive with my mother and request that *for me* she take a trip to 2 adult living communities near her to check them out and see what is available out there. I will be able to go on one with her and I'm going to ask her friend to take her to the other one. I want to make the appointment at the one I will go with her to before I call her. If she refuses, I will go myself. My visit to them on Friday was disturbing enough that I am ready to use any form of manipulation and guilt trip to get them to make some decisions.

I weighed myself this am and only gained 1.5 lbs. while on vacation. Not too bad...ticker has been updated.

It is a lovely, bright day here - and total gain over Thanksgiving was about half a pound. I do love South Beach - even Phase 1 can make it through the holidays!

We are hopefully getting the tree today, and fixing the outdoor light string. DD 1 gets up this mooring and announces, "It is December - that is practically Christmas - let's not go to school." I would have happily stayed in bed!

I made some very very simple vegetable soup, and the 14 year old ATE IT - I nearly fell over. She became vegetarian three months ago, and we are always looking for more foods for her - she is also called a pastacheesetarian these days . . .

I hope you all have a relaxing week, and that whatever work each does is fulfilling.

I just kept Jekel tied up for 3 hours. Oops! We had a nice light lunch and some wine. It was lovely and she is a gem!

Natasha beat me to posting! It was absolutely awesome. Felt like I've known her my whole life. Her mama is fun too. Lots of accents today lol. We missed the protest in Times Square and I just missed a robbery in the jewlery district one block over. Gotta love NYC. Never a dull moment. Hope you love Pantom!!!
