IP Coach would like some input...

  • Good Morning:

I've been a coach for over 2 years with many success stories. I have a client who just hit 100lbs lost a few weeks ago (she's now at 112lbs). She did this in less than 7 months. So inspiring. Love being on this journey with her.

I wanted to send an email out to my clients celebrating her success and hopefully motivating everyone to push forward thru the holiday season. It would be a very informal interview with basic questions re: IP.

As current P1 dieters, what questions would you like to ask someone who has lost over 100lbs??

    Thanks in advance.

    Pam
  • Wow! I have ALL THE QUESTIONS! (Sorry got carried away... )

Other than the obvious question of how?? -

Was she 100% IP? (or did she use alternatives)

Tips and tricks? ie. did she only use non-restricted products? unlimited veggies? Put her meats and veggies together in a particular combo?

What was the hardest part of staying OP for her?

Favorite part of the diet itself, other than fast results?

Advice for those of us still on the plan? For those thinking about starting a plan?

That's all off the top of my head, I hope you'll share the interview with us!
  • Did she exercise at all? How frequently, how strenuous?

Did she use particular veggies (ie the lower carb ones) ?

Did she have issues with the big C, and how did she overcome them?

Did she take all the recommended supplements or only the basics?
  • Wow, that is inspirational!

I would want to know her favourite packets and snacks, maybe her favourite recipe?

Also - maybe you could ask if she had a mantra throughout the process. I think that would help others too!
  • I would be curious to know her weight history. Had she been overweight a long time before starting IP? Had she tried other diets and how successful were they? Has she been able to maintain losses in the past? Has she had a lot of ups and downs in her weight over the years?
  • I have all of the above questions as well.
  • That is really awesome!! I think it would be good if you could interview someone who not only lost 100 lbs, but kept it off for a period of time as well. The losing is the "easy" part...maintaining is where the work comes in.

100 pounds in 7 months is great!

I would ask the same questions as the others.
  • I'd be curious if she hit any plateaus in her weightloss and what she did to overcome them. (some people will switch to P2 or P3 for a week or two to shake things up, some stop taking the one restricted they're allowed per day, etc)
  • Great questions! Will we get to hear the answers?\
  • That's awsome!

Since I have 100+ to do myself I would really be interested in her the answers. All the questions above and.....was there ever a cheat day / meal?
  • I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes but I've been on this site for quite a while.

If you read long enough you'll see that a "cheat meal" may or may not set you back weight-wise for a day or so but the mental game quite often lasts longer than that.

In the past many posters have had a very difficult time getting back OP after.

    Just my 2 cents.
  • Thanks for all of your responses! Those were all great questions. Some I never even thought to ask - but I will.

I'm a bit swamped right now - but I will definitely post her "interview" on a new thread. My goal is to do it before Thanksgiving week.

    Thanks again IP'ers.!!
