I figured I should weigh myself since it's November 1. I was not expecting good news. Imagine my shock when the scale said I had lost 3 lbs. this month! I weighed myself about 10x just to confirm, and it held up. I haven't been particularly good - the only significant change I have made is I started taking Vitex (chasteberry) to help with my frequent periods. This month my cycle was longer and lighter. Vitex helps to balance out estrogen and progesterone (and it really does work, trust me) so I think that for some time I was retaining quite a bit of water because I was estrogen dominant.
I'm pleased (of course) and Ruth, can you change my weight loss goal for November to 3 lbs? I want to be able to maintain this and since I'm going on vacation this month and hope to step up the exercise I want to be realistic.
