    I'm mid-way through my second week. Lost 10 in the first week (I know that's typical - have done this before) but nothing this week at all. I am eating very clean and don't recall a stall like this so early on.

    Question: What have you all done to get going again? Any tips or tricks?

    I'm an admin on 2 Atkins forums on FaceBook, this is something we tell anyone doing Atkins a 2nd time to read. Hope it helps.

    Anyways, I wanted to report back. I tweaked things a bit and it's working. I've cut out all artificial sweeteners, started drinking WAY more water, and significantly upped my fat intake. Ever since doing this I've been losing between 1 and 2 lbs a day.

    Lots of water, Lots of fat and cutting out all artificial sweeteners is key to this working the way it was designed.

    Can you PM me the info on this. On second day of second week of induction, I am up four pounds. I quit the atkins bars and and one pack of splenda in my coffee. I am tracking and eating fresh veggies with protien and good fats. I am coming off another lowcarb diet that was 800 calories a day....Ideal Protein.

    I did the Atkins years ago and have the 2002 book. I know all about hidden carbs, etc. I tracked 18 to 19 net carbs each day the first week....I did a clean induction but the once a day Atkins bar may have done me in. My doctor did call me on Monday to say my Thyroid med needs upping...she said thyroid is in bad shape. Maybe I am retaining water. The keto stix are not turning but I am not hungry.

  • You aren't in a stall until you have been the same weight for 4-6 weeks. No one will have weight loss every single week.

    I'd get one of the the new Atkins books. Things have changed for the better.
