New to the group and just looking for support.

  • I stumbled upon this site a few days ago. I'm looking to trade and discuss various methods that have worked for people who have been dealing with PCOS for awhile. I've known for awhile that I've had it but was formally diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago. It's a struggle (as I'm sure many of you are aware) and sometimes makes life more challenging. I'm currently taking spironolactone and have seen fairly good results. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, please drop me a line.
  • The best thing for me to get my symptoms under control is to control my carbs. I know that might not work for everybody, but when I am on low carb, ALL my symptoms are much easier to deal with.

I quit Gluc XR since I had so many stomach problems with it. I was like a Betsy Wetsy doll, but not for wetting. I am giving it my BEST try to see if I can do this without the meds. If I don't stick to the diet, I will go back on them. Incentive for me! When I reach my goal weight, I will get my blood tested again and see how my glucose and insulin is. I have read so many times that losing weight will VASTLY improve the glucose and insulin resistance. I'm hoping that will work for me as well.
