Ezekiel bread vs. light bread

  • Light bread meaning bread like Aunt Mille's 35 Calorie bread. Which one is better for blood sugar levels? Or should I eat neither of them?
  • I googled Ezekiel bread because I've never heard of it.

I go for the lower calories. However, I'm not as concerned about my blood sugar, as my levels are "normal" per my doctor/A1c tests.

Ezekiel's web site says they are a diabetic top choice, so maybe it would be worth comparing individual labels?

    Sorry not more helpful!
  • Eating them plain? If you have a blood sugar meter, could test before eating it and then again one hour later.

Otherwise pair with enough protein to balance it. For me that means 1 sandwich with lots of veggies and at least 3 oz protein. (3 slices deli turkey or whatever.... 1 slice is usually about 1 oz)
