Grrrr. Dropped my iphone in a toilet Saturday. No I wasn't using the phone while, well you know. The phone was in my back pocket and I forgot it was there. Great. So after the dreaded metal clink , my heart sank. Well, long story short, a bag of rice a removed SIM card and 36 hrs later it's working up to speed. (Still early in the life saving treatment but fingers crossed). I do have insurance and I own the phone outright but don't want the hassle of claiming and shipping and waiting. This is at a bad time ( as if any time is good) but working loads and on call plus on all this weekend. Plus my teenager is flying alone back to the states for summer with grandparents this weekend. Hopefully all is ok with it.

I relate, a few years ago I forgot that my then new iPhone was in my jean pocket, well, I put the jeans in the washing machine with the iPhone in the pocket- yikes!

So, while my iPhone was very clean, it was also pretty much dead! So, I went to a local tech shop, they were able to back up most of my things on the phone, thank God but I did need a new phone. I was with AT and T, I had Asurion, the wireless insurance who shipped me a new iPhone, but it was a dud, horrible! So I went to an Apple store and they gave me a new phone, yay, I was under warranty so it didn't cost me a penny, phew!

Since then I've switched to T-Mobile and I am paying off my iPhone 5S, and I have Jump from them, which is wireless insurance coverage.
