Does anyone know if we are allowed to have alligator meat on the South Beach Diet? I started the diet a month ago per my doctor for Diabetes and I love gator bites....Please help....

It's not on the list but probably is equivalent to lean beef.

Yep, alligator should be fine, but the bites are typically breaded or floured and fried which is a no-go.
