My intro

  • Hello everyone. I am a 31 year old mother of 2. I live in Florida and work as a preschool teacher (2's class).
I started at 203lbs on June 10th, 2014. I am currently at 189.4lbs. after changing my diet and going to the gym. My goal is about 163. So I have about 26lbs more to go. I'm here to give and receive support. And hopefully make new friends who have similar goals.
  • How awesome! You are already doing great! I hope to have the motivation you have and lose like you.
  • Hi Lulu! Thanks for the support! I'm very proud of myself for finally finding the motivation to do something. Even though some days I have to push myself.
I see you're starting at 211. Not far from where I started. I know you can do it! What are you doing to lose the weight??
  • Hi and welcome I recently joined, too. We have very similar goals - maybe we can push each other through this congrats on your success and I can't wait to hear about your progress!
  • Hi Sophia's mom! Thank you for welcoming me :-) I absolutely would love a push partner. I see you've lost quite a bit already. Congrats! What are you doing to lose the weight??
  • Welcome to 3FC!!!

Awesome weight loss so far. Are you following a specific type of diet program, calorie counting, food tracking or just going it on your own ?
  • Welcome to the forum! =3 Congrats on the weight loss thus far. You're doing great.

I'm counting calories (1200/day) and working out 3-4 times a week. I completely broke up with junk food and diet sodas. So far, so good
  • Thanks everyone.
I'm not really doing anything specific. Just burning calories on the cardio machines at the gym...eating healthier foods and watching my portions.
But I'm not counting calories or eating anything special or anything.

That's great! Seems like its working for you. Keep it up :-) What is your motivation, if I may ask?

My motivation (May seem silly, but it works for me) is listening to upbeat music, reading up on the success of others on here and on the web, and reading/posting motivational quotes on Pinterest. I make a point to workout first thing in the morning. That way it's out of the way and I have the rest of the day to tackle out my daily tasks. I understand not everyone has the opportunity to do that, but one can make a plan to be active whatever time of day - even if it's a quick 20 minutes of something.

It's all about pumping yourself up, setting your mind to it, and executing

Good luck, girl! You got this!
