I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FINALLY. After 7 months (losing excess weight was my New Year's Resolution), heavy exercise, and a healthy vegan diet, I'm finally at my goal weight of 110 pounds (I'm 5'4"). This forum has done SO much for me. I went and lurked around every corner whenever I felt depressed and like I couldn't go on. It was REALLY HARD to continue sometimes, like when I hit a platform or gained a little weight. It was even harder being around all my skinny asian friends. i guess I'm the only one out of our group that didn't have a fast metabolism. But still, I did it and I couldn't be happier. I went from 153 lbs in January to 110. At graduation I could smile and take pictures with all my peers, family and friends without feeling self-concious... and my god thats a good feeling. I went to senior ball feeling like a princess... i just want to say NEVER GIVE UP. If you do, you'll feel worse than you did when you started. YOU CAN DO IT. Stop making excuses for yourself like I did... JUST DO IT. NOW. And use this website as your tool... it works. Come to it when youve got the munchies... read through some posts and find ur support. God bless ya!

    - Yumihana! 110 pounds :-p
  • That's awesome!!! What did you do, specifically, to do that? I need to lose about 20-25 lbs and I really need some advice because I can never stay on track.
  • Congrats!

Good for you! Enjoy it, you deserve it!!
Hopefully someday (soon) I will join you !!

  • That was totally inspirational!!! You should be so damn proud of yourself, because that is hard work. How do you find maintenance? I am about 5'3 and would like to get down to the same weight as you. Did you count calories? I would love to hear more about your story.
    Thanks a lot
  • Congrats You look great! My best friend of 11 years is pinay and was alway's the skinny girl who never gained any weight. She would eat 3 times as much as me and not gain anything. I was always frustrated that I was alway's the "fat one" and she was alway's the "skinny one." So I know exactly how you felt about having a slow metabolism and your friends having a super fast ones. Now I've lost weight and even though I still can't eat like her at least I can have a body somewhat like hers

    Congrats again and keep maintaining.

  • You DO look beautiful! I am encouraged that you have been eating vegan, becaasue that is what I have finally found is working best for me these past couple of months. I just FEEL so much better, too! Right away, within 2 days, my stomach seemed to go flatter when I started to eat this way. I didn't realize how bloated and miserable I had been before.

Thanks for your thread. You've done a remarkable thing!!
  • Congratulations on all your hard work and success!! It is inspirational to hear your story. All the best to you.
