LadyVatrovia - We usually post on the thread titled SUGAR BUSTERS WEEKLY SUPPORT BOARD (dated for the current week.) This is where you are more likely to get answers to any questions you may have. SB is not a Lo-carb diet. It is based on the Glycemic Index which refers to the rate at which carbs are broken down in the body and how it effects the blood sugar. Carbs with a high gi raise the blood sugar quicker than carbs with lower gi. We try to avoid the carbs with a high gi. Have you read the SB book? If you haven't I think it is a good idea to do so so that you would have a better understanding of this woe. If you don't want to buy the book you could probably get it from your library. Carbs are allowed but no white bread, white potatoes, white flour. Whole grain breads are allowed as are ww pasta and brown rice. For baking we use Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour. These starchy carbs should be restricted to 2-3 servings a day. You should eat lots of veggies and salads, also most fruit is allowed (no bananas unless they are under-ripe). Here's a website you might want to check out as it has lots of good info on SB and what foods are allowed. RISSA'S SITE
