My daily exercise goal

  • Hello everyone!

I just accepted my first nursing job and now that I don't have the stress of "how am I going to pay this bill"=eating binges/depression. I am focused on improving my life not just the number on the scale (which I just put away). I'm not going to focus on how much I weigh, how much I should weigh or what I need to lose. I have about 10 days before day 1 of my job to get myself started.

My mini goal is simply to do exercise everyday: yoga/T25 and to eat sensibly. The weight will come off when it comes off. I have 2 months free yoga after winning a weight loss challenge and I hope I can stay off the scale until it's over at the end of march.
  • Yes, that "where is the money going to come from?" is such a stressful position to be in. I'm so happy you got your first nursing job-- congratulations! And I think it's wise to not put so much pressure on the number on the scale right now either. Just go by how you feel and treat yourself well.
  • Congrats, I'm back in school for the semester and I'm going to try and set aside every school day to go to our gym even though the smallness of it and the machinery offered doesn't impress me much. I did about 20-30 minutes of it today. But also want to try to go to the local park on the weekends to walk around but I'll probably do that more often in the spring and on summer break.
  • Congrats! Finally getting your career started is a wonderful feeling and it is a big encouragement to make even more, better changes in your life Good luck with everything
