Two Week Challenge

  • Hello everyone.

    It has been a long time since I have posted to any sort of message board and I kind of have no Idea where to even start. I am 25 years old from FL. Currently I weigh 239, just a couple lbs fewer than my heaviest (during the holidays) when I was actually into the 240's. I am going to spain in july/august and have been promised to be taken to all the greatest beaches. I have been wanted to change my life for a while, but began to believe I could not do it a long time ago. I am starting a personal challenge today to see what kind of progress I can make in two weeks if I put in my all, thats diet and exercise and vitamins! Really it is just for myself to see what I can do, its been so long since I have tried.... I am not going to do just two weeks and then stop. But this is my first goal, two weeks without giving up to see what I can do...

    Any one of any age from anywhere want a friend to lend support to and get it right back, let me know.

  • Two weeks sounds like a reasonable time commitment. Do you have any specific goals? Everything I've read says that specific goals help the most.
    Anyway, I'd be happy to embark on this with you. I recently hit 213 and it's scaring the **** out of me. (Hence, my username.)
    Want to set some specific goals and try to use this place to communicate about whether we've reached them and what we've discovered about what our obstacles are?

    PS: Hahaha. I'm going to have to watch my language. I cuss and swear like a sailor and it put the little ** over HE-double-hockey-sticks.
    That's not a complaint. I can respect that. It just made me laugh.

  • Just Starting
    Hello everyone...I have been on so many different diets, I cannot even count them. I am now at my all time high and need to get really serious about this. My husband and I started the Paleo yesterday. It is very similar to Atkins but has the fruit included. Hopefully, this will help because of variety. I plan to check in every day to see how everyone is doing. It is great to have bacon and eggs every morning. I don't have the book but am guessing that there are still limited quantities.

    My short term goals are to eat clean for the two weeks, go to the gym or do some sort of active workout everyday for the two weeks and Measure all results.

    After the two weeks : short term goals are eat as cleanly as possible and exercise at least 5 days a week ( even as little as a half our walk and stretches)

    Mid term goals are to be under 200 by my birthday in july

    Long term goals - goal weight of 178lbs. Active life style. Be smoke free FOREVER. size 14 pants (10 - 12 would be like a life long goal lol )
