Wasn't sure what to expect this week...

  • After gaining .5 last WI, I was scared of what the scale would say today. I am trying to get out of a habit of weighing myself mid-week (Wednesday), and I didn't get on that scale all week.

Thanksgiving was depressing for me, as I was only limited to some turkey and the side dish I made (zucchini and summer squash, roasted in the oven with sea salt, pepper, olive oil, and garlic seasoning). The dinner part was no problem... but, dessert made it extremely hard for me to stay OP. But, no matter what was on that counter, I managed to avoid all of it, even tho I wanted pumpkin pie really bad. Praise the Lord my boyfriend was there, and he helped me to say no to all those desserts, even tho I wanted to cave in. Then, yesterday at work, I'm the one whose in charge of getting the donuts on Saturday morning, and there were 2 butter crunch ones calling my name *sigh*. But, thank God, someone else got ahold of them, so I wouldn't.

Still, I wasn't sure where I would be come WI day... well, I wasn't expecting to go down, however... I LOST 5 POUNDS! I am now 2 pounds away from reaching my first mini-goal: to be down to the weight I was at 3 years ago before my surgery. Staying away from all that yummy food was sooo worth it! Gonna keep it going!
  • Glad that it turned out so well. Your hard work paid off!
  • That's awesome scottysgirl7682! Congrats and I know how much it sucks to pass on all that tasty food but it totally pays off.
