I have a really sore throat- anybody know if we can have cough drops or what brand/kind?

I do not know what the official word on that is, but you also need to consider your comfort as a priority on the issue, too.

My coach said gargle warm salt water. You know, each coach to their own. Feel better soon.

When I got sick, I had hot tea with lemon.. I think it was the riccola or halls sugar free cough drops.. one had aspartame the other did not.. I can remember which... and I did lots of vitamin C tablets.

Hot tea w/ lemon or ginger (or both)
Warm salt water gargle
Chloraseptic spray (sugar-free) to deaden pain
And if you start to feel worse, homemade chicken soup with Select veggies!
(Chicken soup to cure what ails you!)

Thanks everyone for the advice. I got a very small pack of the halls sugar free CDs and had two today just when I had to talk (I give a lot of presentations at work). I have been slugging hot tea all day too.

I hope to be over this soon- it's really painful!
