I've been lurking on this forum for a little while, but just decided to bite the bullet and join because I really do need the support and a way to process all my jumbled thoughts and feelings. I read the book "Normal Eating for Normal Weight," and I've been practicing it and getting much better at sensing hunger and knowing when I'm experiencing emotions and processing them through other effective means. My new motto is, "You can fall, just don't fall into a bag of chips."
I'm also considering getting the Food and Feelings workbook as it seems like it would be effective. I feel like my food relationship is healing, but I still need to work on body image. After all, I just don't like weighing 195 pounds, and I don't see how I should like it. But I have started to dress better and care more about my appearance and do the things I was waiting to do when I got thin. One step at a time...

So glad you joined us!
Love the motto! Good luck on your journey
Great motto! I think many of us are emotional eaters here. I'm glad you are working it out. Like you said, one step at a time! Good luck!
