Hi everyone,

Has anyone gotten the B12 shots from their clinic?

My coach has recommended them to me, but I'd like to know if anyone else has gotten them or taken the supplements.

Have you noticed a difference?

I don't want to end up crazed like in that episode of Mad Men!

Just out of curiosity, why are they recommending B injections?

I've been really tired, so my coach recommended it.

My MD recommended supplements because my last blood work up (just prior to starting IP) showed I was deficient in B and D. She recommended supplements.

I am very comfortable with vitamins in a pill, but wasn't sure about the shot and was wondering if anyone had the B-12 injection and had any + or - feedback.

they do not offer such a thing at my clinic...is the person suggesting the shots a MD? or just a lay person!?

if your PCP/GP/MD said pills that should be all you need to do...sounds like your clinic is looking to make some extra cash off you

I agree...I would not let anyone other than a Primary Care Physician make the call. My clinic is run by Chiros, and while I'm OK with the Chiro I've been working with, I'd not do anything like this with out the involvement of my own physician. In fact I last had blood work and a go over with my MD after I'd been on the plan for about 10 weeks. Now I plan to go in again since I'm close to phasing off, and I'll do it again once I'm completely off and .... gulp .....going it on my own.

If i were you I'd just take the supplement - my MD said there's not a big difference in the shot versus the pill except for the strength/dose - they are BOGO at CVS right now .. just double up for a couple months and you should A- ok! - maybe do a google search on "b-12 shots e pill"
