My first day!!

  • Well, so far so good I guess. Started the day with a soft boiled egg and my coffee with the vanilla protein shake mixed in. I had 1 cup mashed cauliflower and 1 cup mashed broccoli for lunch with an IP broccoli cheese soup packet on top. Just had the IP banana pudding muffins I made last night and 1/2 cup celery, 1/2 cup cucumbers for my snack, not bad. I have had over 80 ounces of water already!! I feel a bit hungry but not unbearable but I do feel very hot. Anyone else notice that? Planning on having steamed cod and 1 cup sauteed mushrooms for dinner. Does that sound like I did okay??? The egg did not stick with me that well this morning so I will have to experiment tomorrow. I am a breakfast eater so I can't just drink something...
  • Congratulations!!! We are all pulling for you! The carb and sugar addiction took me a good 3-4 days to get over (you might not be as addicted as I was tho). If you start feeling bad on day 2 and 3 ... just take some aspirin and push through it ... I got a bad headache ... but not all people react the same way. By day 5, it's MUCH EASIER.
  • Best of luck, you'll do great!

I am anticipating it will suck since I ate lots of sugar and carbs every day for most of my life!!! I have Advil on hand and a relatively open schedule for the next few days. Love the support on these boards!!!
  • Congratulations on a great life choice
  • You are in good company here - lots of great info! I'm day 5 - not sleeping well but that's not uncommon. Today though my teeth feel a bit sore and my mouth is dry. Apparently that means things are working by design. Best to you on day one!
  • Hang in there, because it does get better. The first week or two is not fun, but you're on your way to an entirely new way of life. It's exciting!
