Hi from Bklyn NY

  • Hi everyone...Im Lisa from bklyn NY. Im 35 and 197...Im ready to start my journey and take the plunge. I have 2 small girls 3 and 6 years old both C-sections weighing 10 pounds each at birth and a very busy hectic life. Im a dance mom, CCD mom, and also a 2nd grade teacher in NYC public schools. My husband and I recently joined a gym together and he offered to help me along my journey by purchasing a year's worth of personal training (trainer 2x a week for 30 mins). The best part about the gym is free child care and walking distance from home. NO EXCUSES!!! right???? Now I just need food advice. Im always running on the go, I need some prep in advance advice for breakfast and lunch. I plan my dinners by doing once a month freezer cooking. Which means I prepare all my dinners for a month in zip lock freezer bags and then thaw them out the night before this way when I get home from work I just pop the entire meal in the oven. I was thinking about doing the shake meal replacement thing for breakfast and lunch...anyone have any luck with that?
  • Hi Lisa! I don't know anything about meal replacement shakes, but I'm sure there are people on here who do! Take a look at the Diet Central section of the forum and you'll probably find some info there. You should also ask your personal trainer. He/She will probably want to make sure you are eating the right kinds of things to energize your body for exercising. What I do know is that you are going to do great! You are organized, you have your dear hubby behind you, you have a gym with daycare, a personal trainer for a year, and now you've found 3FC! Good luck in your journey!
  • Don't know anything about meal replacement shakes, but I wanted to pop in and welcome you to the site!
