Water Fasting - Anybody do it before?

  • Hey all, i'm just wondering if anyone tried a water fast for 3 days or longer and how was your experience during it?

    I've done a few 2 day water fasts before and with the last week I've been preparing myself for this 7 day fast which i'm starting Monday.

    I've done a lot of research of each aspect of the water fast and i'm prepared for everything, obviously if my body really tells me to stop then I will but i'm hoping i'll be able to get through the whole week.

    I would be expecting to lose 17-20 lbs during the 7 days.
  • Wow. IrishLad. I could not do that. I am working out a lot right now and I need the lean protein to keep muscle, if not to build it.

    I have done single day fasts in the past when I ate a lot the day before but 7 days I could not imagine.
  • Hey Ian, congrats on losing over 100lbs! It must feel great!

    It will be tough, but I feel it's right for me to do now. Muscle loss isn't really too much of a concern for me, I might buy some BCAA'S in the morning to replenish lost protein but right now my priority is just to lose weight, building muscle is phase 2 once I reach my goal of 210.
