  • I wanted to start a thread so that we can share all the little victories we have that just don't pertain to the scale numbers...

I have a couple of things today that I want to share...

I started going through some clothes and found several shirts that I haven't worn in a few years or have never worn that now fit. I am the world's worst about buying clothes thinking I will wear them when I lose weight. Well guess what? I am getting there... I found a shirt with flags on it that fits so I can wear it today!!! Yay!!!

I put on a pair of shorts that I haven't worn in a couple of years that now fit. This might be TMI (too much information) but I also put on some undies that were previously tight. Oh and last week I put on some capri pants that previously I could wear but the slit at the calf was stretched wide open when I wore them. Now they just HANG there, the slit straight down just like it is supposed to be.

So the weight is coming off everywhere... belly, butt and legs too. That really makes me feel good!
  • Way to go! I like victories like yours more than the scale sometimes. It's like getting new clothes but not spending the $$.
  • Today was the first time I noticed that I lost weight! I looked different in the mirror! And my pants fell off not in public thankfully!
  • Dont - LOL thankfully not in public... I have been having that problem too... some of my shorts are pretty big but I really like walking in them... I need a belt but there are no loops...

Reads - Yes... I agree... it's like I went shopping and got a lot of things without spending a dime...
  • The dress I wore to a bachelorette 60 days ago is loose up top

I carried my 47 pound dog down the condo steps and back without feeling like I would die.
  • Twice this past week, people picking me up from the airports (one being my man friend) and a week later, my sister said they didn't even recognize me and were looking for someone bigger.
  • Jane - Doesn't that feel so wonderful that your dress is looser than before. I love that feeling. Sometimes I think I am addicted to that feeling rather than the exercise high. LOL.

Wish - that is so cool to have people who know you looking for someone bigger... I know that made you feel so good!

I wanted to add a new NSV... actually it is more of a realization than anything... I just realized this morning I have exercised every single day since June 1. That is 36 consecutive days. Actually since May 19 I have exercised every day except May 30 and 31. Both of these are just short of a miracle for me because in the summer I don't want to do ANYTHING but sit in front of a fan or AC. I have to admit that there are some days when I have to nearly MAKE myself get out there and walk but I do it!

    I just had to share.

I hope everyone has a wonderful OP Sunday!!!
  • A friend at work commented that she noticed I was losing weight especially in my stomach. It really caught me off guard as I didn't think anyone would really notice until I'm somewhere in the 260s. That compliment just made me want to work harder.
  • NSV: friends at church walking up to me and calling me 'skinny'.
  • Dreamgirl & Kaitie- I love when people notice that I am losing weight.

Sunday at church, I was telling my friend about finally fitting into the dress I had on. It was then I realized the shirt I had chosen to put over it had enough extra room that it could have been "double-breasted".

Just today I had a coworker tell me that she could see it in my face and neck that I had lost weight. So YAY!
All this hard work is paying off.
  • One more, I bought a dress in a size I've bought previously from this brand and it is waaayyyyy too big!!!!!
  • I'm currently wearing my very first purchase from a pin up style clothing site that I've been dying to fit into since I started.

    My scale can bite me.
  • Ooh, site please?

  • While I was out walking my shoe came undone and I could easily bend over to tie it up. I was thrilled and still am about it. The people walking down the street probably thought I lost my mind thou.
