Newbie

  • Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tracy. I'm 41 years old. I live in NJ with my hubby Bill. We have been married for 20 years. I've been obese for over the past 10 years. My all time highest weight was 270 pounds and my all time lowest weight was back in may of 1993 which was 150 pounds and now I'm around 260 pounds. I need to lose between 110-120 pounds to get down to a healthy weight and a healthy bmi. I'm not sure what I'm going to do as far as my diet goes but as far as my exercise I'm going to walk either outside or inside on my treadmill. I look forward to getting to know you guys.

    It sounds like you've got a great start on the exercise, which is AWESOME!!! I personally am not a big fan of gyms, so I also walk and use an elliptical when I visit my parents house. Every little bit counts! Any exercise is better than no exercise!

    As far as diets go, there are soooooo many choices!! I use Weight Watchers, but there is also calorie counting, portion control, vegan, vegetarian, south beach...the list can go on and on! I would recommend looking through several of the forums here to see if there might be one that better fits your lifestyle. The trick is not to change too much right away, as that can lead to "rebelling" and binging.
