Carbohydrate Addicts Diet

  • Just wondering if anyone else is doing the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet?

    I'm on my second week - lost 3 lbs first week and I'm liking it. I don't feel deprived as I know I can have what I want at my "Reward Meal".

    I'm "cheating" a bit because I'm a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and I'm going to the meeting just for the support. It's just good for me to hear what others are challenged with.
  • any support is what i term good support!! great job. i tried cad and found that my reward meal kept getting longer and longer and then ir reached in tho 2 meals and well you can guess...
  • I lost 40 pounds on CAD 3 years ago but I decided now to go with Adkins. That reward meal is just not restrictive enough for me. I also tended to go too long and not balance the meal as I should have. Instead of 1/3 carbs, 1/3 protein, and 1/3 low carb veggies I was doing about 3/4 carbs and 1/4 whatever.
    If you can watch yourself at reward time then you will really like this diet and do good on it.
  • Thanks for the info. It's only my second week so I've been doing fine with the 60 min time limit, but I can see where it can go longer, especially at a party.

    I'm a long time CAD'er! I can't imagine any other OP woe'ing! I've been very fortunate not to have any problems with the reward meal and truly believe it's why I was able to stay on it for soooooo many years successfully.

    Surrounding yourself with any form of positive support is great! I wish that was the only kind of "cheating" I knew! lol
