WW weigh in week 2/NSV

  • Since I dont do meetings and I want to stay accountable I post.

I dont really trust the scale this week. After my weigh in last week (sat.) i started to keep going down and I was just but then as the week went on it slowly creeped up 4lbs! I was so frustrated and I was contemplating stopping all together if I was going to be the same weight eating well or not but I talked myself down from going to get take out. The next 2 days I just tried to stick to the plan and friday doubled my run from 3.2 to >7miles (in under 60mins) hoping that for weigh in it would lessen the blow.

    So here we go
    Week 1: -6.4
    Week 2: -3.2
Week 3 goal is to be down 2 lbs

The biggest victory in my eyes is breaking out of the 150s for the first time after over a year of trying and failing. I also reached my 5% goal and im creeping up on my first 10lbs (fingers crossed for next week to be able to say 10 lbs down) I also going to run 10k's even though it kills me it must have been the push i needed.

NSV- The day after seeing the 4 added lbs on scale, a coworker asked me if i was on a diet, i guess because I was eating a salad. I denied it bc when its failing its kinda silly calling it a diet. She then said oh, well you look like you lost weight. It was a small 10 second conversation but it made me smile and really kinda made my day. Sometimes NSV can feel better than the mirror or the scale. Just thought I would share that.
  • You are doing fantastic!!!! Truly awesome on your weight loss!!! And that little 'zing' of pleasure you get when people notice really is what makes it all worth it!!!

I just did my second weigh-in as well (also don't go to meetings, I just keep track of everything myself), and am down to 216.2, when my starting weight was 221.8 two weeks ago =)

Although they say not to weigh yourself too much in between actual weigh-ins, I find myself sneaking on the scale occasionally, and I notice that my weight seems to fluctuate about 2 lbs up or down, and I just assume that it's water retention, especially if I eat something salty/fast food that day.

My little win this week is I did *not* get popcorn, nor drink any of the large soda my fiance got when we went to see Star Trek =) I'm normally a sucker for movie theater popcorn, but the thought of eating all that salt, and having my weigh in today was enough for me to say "no thank you!" Yay for small victories!!
  • Your doing so good Congrats thats alot of progress in a short amount of time. I dont do meetings either, im an onliner. I have to agree Im kinda addicted to hopping on the scale I just get so nervous.

Congrats also on dodging the popcorn, I had my goal of no cookies (from my job) this week. I saw and avoided them knowing what delicious gooey fat, carbs and sugar would do to the scale. I am proud of myself but a little bitter, they looked extra good today.
One day at a time, right. :\
